Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Vizion Player handles information. In short: Vizion Player is a media player that runs on your device. It has no user accounts and no servers that store your personal data — most information stays on your device or is sent only to the sources you choose to connect.

1. Information You Provide

To play your content, you enter connection details for the media sources you use (such as a server address and login). These are stored securely in the device Keychain and are sent only to the server you connect to, in order to load your content. They are never sent to us.

1a. Operator Portal & Usage Analytics

If your provider enables its operator portal, the app connects to that portal over HTTPS to receive on-screen messages and, if you use in-app support, to submit your requests and read replies. The app also sends the operator basic, first-party usage signals: when the app is opened, which on-screen messages were shown, read, or dismissed, your app version and device language, and — to power subscription renewal reminders — your subscription's expiry date. These signals are tied only to the username you signed in with, go solely to your operator's own portal, contain no advertising identifiers, and are never shared with third parties or used to track you across other apps or websites. Your password and viewing history are never sent.

2. Information Stored On Your Device

Your profiles, favourites, recently-played items, watch history, search history, downloads, and app settings are stored locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you delete the relevant item or the app.

3. Purchases

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our purchase-infrastructure provider. They receive the information needed to validate and restore your purchase (such as an anonymous purchase identifier and receipt). We do not receive your payment details. Apple's and RevenueCat's own privacy policies govern how they handle this data.

4. Trailers and Third-Party Content

When you play a trailer, it is loaded from YouTube through an embedded player; YouTube/Google may collect information as described in their privacy policy. All other content is loaded from the sources you configure, which are operated by third parties outside our control.

5. Advertising

Free-tier users may see advertisements. Where third-party ads are shown, the app uses Google AdMob to deliver and measure them; AdMob may collect limited information (such as a device advertising identifier and general device/usage signals), governed by Google's privacy policy. Before using your data for personalized ads, the app asks for App Tracking Transparency permission — if you decline, you will still see ads, but non-personalized ones. Upgrading to Pro, or buying "remove ads", disables advertising entirely.

6. Analytics

The app may collect anonymous, aggregated usage and diagnostic information to improve reliability and performance. This does not identify you personally and is not linked to the content you watch or the sources you use.

7. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not operate servers that record what you watch, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles from your viewing activity.

8. Children's Privacy

Vizion Player is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A Kids profile, where used, filters content but does not change this policy.

9. Security

Connection credentials are stored in the device Keychain, and downloaded files are stored with iOS Data Protection (encrypted at rest) and excluded from iCloud backup. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards.

10. Your Choices

You can remove a connection at any time in the app, which deletes its stored credentials. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date shown here and, where appropriate, within the app.
