Brand Assets Checklist: Logo, Colors & Name
Everything you need to prepare before OTTBuilder brands your streaming player app: name, logo, colors, and fonts.
Your branded streaming player app starts with your brand assets. The cleaner and more complete your submission, the faster we can produce a build that looks exactly like your brand. Use this checklist to gather everything before intake.
App name
Your app name appears in the store listing, on the device home screen, and inside the app.
- Keep it short and clear so it is readable under app icons.
- Confirm it is not already taken in your target stores.
- Decide on the exact capitalization and spacing you want.
Some stores reject names that imply you provide content or that resemble existing trademarks. Choose a name you have the right to use.
Logo
We use your logo across the app, splash screen, and store assets.
- Provide a vector file (SVG or AI/EPS) when possible, plus a high-resolution PNG.
- Supply a version with a transparent background.
- If your logo has light and dark variants, send both so it stays visible on any background.
- Include any clear-space rules you want respected.
Color palette
Colors drive the look of buttons, highlights, backgrounds, and accents.
- Provide your primary and secondary colors as HEX values (for example,
#0A84FF). - Include an accent color for highlights and focus states.
- Specify your preferred background tone (most streaming apps use dark backgrounds for comfortable viewing).
Pick colors with strong contrast. On a TV viewed from across the room, low-contrast text and buttons are hard to read and harder to navigate with a remote.
Typography
If you have brand fonts, share them so the app feels consistent with your other materials.
- Provide the font files or the exact font names.
- Confirm you hold the license to use them in an application.
- If you have no preference, we use clean, highly legible defaults.
Icon and splash assets
The app icon and splash screen have strict size and format rules per platform. These are important enough to have their own guide. See App Icon & Splash Screen Requirements for exact dimensions and tips.
Optional extras
These are not required but help polish the result:
- A short tagline for store listings.
- Screenshots of how you want featured content arranged (we cannot supply content, but layout preferences help).
- Any brand guidelines document you already maintain.
Submission checklist
Before you submit, confirm you have:
- Final app name with exact spelling.
- Logo in vector plus high-resolution PNG, with transparency.
- Primary, secondary, and accent HEX colors.
- Preferred background tone.
- Brand fonts (or a note that defaults are fine).
- App icon and splash assets per the requirements guide.
Sending complete assets in one batch avoids back-and-forth. Partial submissions are the most common cause of onboarding delays.
When your assets are ready, start intake at /get-started, or ask us anything through /contact.
